Chris Brown, Rihanna and Kanye West were the big winners at last night's American Music Awards in Los Angeles. Brown scooped the top Artist of the Year award as well as the Favourite Male Artist awards in both the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories. Brown's girlfriend Rihanna was similarly awarded the title of Favourite Female Artist for both the pop/rock and soul/R&B sections. Meanwhile, West was named Favourite Rap/Hip-hop Artist to go with his Favourite Rap/Hip-hop Album award for his 'Graduation' CD. However, the American Music Awards are all about the performances on the night and last night was no exception. Rihanna donned her now-familiar S&M gear of chains leather corset to perform her love ballad, 'Rehab'. There were also vibrant sets from Miley Cyrus, Pink, The Jonas Brothers, Coldplay, the Pussycat Dolls, Annie Lennox, Ne-Yo, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and New Kids On The Block. All winners were chosen by fans who voted online.
